Hi, I’m Kelly. As a native of Colorado (minus the 9 years I spent in Ohio during my tween years) I always knew I wanted to have a career that would allow me to stay here. Though I am always ready for a new adventure and distant travels, I am never disappointed to return home to this amazing state. I knew that Regis could lend me the opportunity to build a foundation in nursing that would support a lasting career here in Denver. With that being said, I never second guessed my desire to attend what I understood to be the best accelerated nursing program in Colorado! I promptly made my decision that I had to return to my original love for the medical profession and start the process of applying to Regis (and only Regis). Putting it that way sounds pretty easy; however, it was more terrifying looking at it in the sense that I had just put all my eggs in one basket! After completing high school in Littleton, CO and moving on to graduate from Colorado State University, I decided that all my hard work deserved a little break. I was able to travel to South Africa for a medical forum, backpack through Europe, camp all around the west, and find my true love…hiking fourteeners! Though all of this excitement kept me going for a few years, I knew I needed to find my place in life.
Second time’s a charm! After spending the last few years pursuing a potential career in elementary education, my love for the healthcare field was confirmed. I loved working with the children, but it was just not my passion. I began taking the last few prerequisites that I needed and submitted my application for the January 2011 class at Regis. After interviewing and waiting with baited breath, I was informed that I was only an alternate. My emotions told me that I was defeated, but my want to serve others pushed me to move on. 100% certain that Regis was the school for me, I resubmitted my application in the nick of time (only a two week turn-around from the time I found out I was an alternate!) Weeks later, it was official; I was going to be one of the newest members of the Regis family. It still brings a smile to my face saying that. Now it is time to get all my ducks in a row and enjoy the last few months of calm before the sprint through school!

Hi Kelly,
I have my interview with Regis coming up next week and I was wondering if you would be able to help me out a little and tell me how your interview went. My email is sclocal44@gmail.com.

Hi Kelly,
I will be beginning the ABSN program in January 2012. I’m really excited! I’m from California, so I have no idea where I should live in Denver. Haha. I’m looking for a nice, but relatively cheap place that I can share with some roommates and that is near Regis. Any advice would be very helpful.
Thanks!

Hi Kelly,
I will begin the Regis accelerated nursing program in may 2012. When going their web site, I found your blog and I love it.
I want to get more familiar with the classes, and I have many questions (how did you study, what are the things I should prepare before the start of the classes or during the classes; timeline of the classes and study,..). I know you are probably busy with the holidays, but I will really appreciate a lot if I can meet you anywhere you like for coffer or lunch.. my treat.
Please let me know. My phone number is 303-579-1852

Hi Kelly,
I have been accepted into CHOICE Nursing program starting fall 2013. I`m both excited and nervous. I`m most nervous about pharmacology. Couple questions in regard to this class- are the final exam comprehensive? How would you recommend studying this course beforehand? And what text book does Regis usie- I’d like to get a head start.Thank you so much for your help with this.
